Samantha Dow

Sam is currently a senior, double majoring in Geoscience and Geography at UConn. Her undergraduate thesis is focused on understanding the sedimentation behind Conway Electric Reservoir in Western, Massachusetts, relating to flood events, including flooding related to Tropical Storm Irene. Her interests are in geomorphology, focusing on rivers, the post-glacial history of New England, and using GIS. She plans to present her research at the Keck Geology Consortium Symposium in April 2014.
