Hydrologic Modeling of the Fenton River Basin

FentonHsdColor

Overview:

The Fenton River is an upland tributary of the Thames River of southeastern Connecticut that supplies water to the University of Connecticut’s Storrs campus. The local water balance is expected to change in response to climate change. A GIS-based model of current water movement is in production. Measures of precipitation, land use practice, and surficial geology will be integrated into the model
