Impacts of 17th to early 20th century dams on southern New England rivers

Fluvial systems on the New England landscape have a rich history due in part to the glacial and cultural history of the region. Deglaciation left behind a complicated swath of sediment further impacted by colonial deforestation and dams. We are using LiDAR to study the impacts of these dams on southern New England rivers.
